Please join us on Thursday, March 27, 2025, to hear a presentation by attorney Tom Hoffman, II. Tom is a shareholder at Knox Law with offices in Pennslyvania and New York and will be sharing information on the Family Private Enterprise Model.
Establishing a clear path of succession is the best way to ensure a business' sustainability after the owner transitions away from the day to day involvement in the company. When business owners do not have a clear successor in their family or business, they often think that their only option is to sell. What is often left unconsidered is to retain ownership (investment), hire a non-family member president, and establish an independent board of directors - all designed to guide the organization into the future while ensuring the business owner is able to step away from day-to-day operations.
Tom concentrates his practice on closely held business planning, business succession planning, implementation of sophisticated estate and trust planning, administration of complex estates and trusts, and the tax consequences of these matters. Tom often uses atypical approaches seeking the best possible solution for clients' complex ambitions and circumstances. He works closely as a team with clients' accountants, bankers, insurance agents and wealth management advisors, aspiring to provide high quality, seamless client care.
