As tax and substantive laws evolve and family dynamics change, estate planners can encounter irrevocable trusts that would benefit from modification to better serve the current and future needs of the beneficiaries. Attendees will have an understanding of the options for modifying irrevocable trusts by considering alternatives based on the language in the trust instrument, and outlining nonjudicial and judicial options available under the Tennessee Uniform Trust Code.
